What are Pension Contributions?

Contributions made towards your pension are any amounts of money that are put into it. You make your own individual contributions, while in many cases for workplace pensions an employer will also make contributions to the fund. You can receive tax relief on the contributions you make up to a certain amount. In most cases, pension contributions are set at a certain percentage of your salary.
